Nudging firms to provide necessary data

Intervention Description
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets encountered a problem where firms did not provide the data about their company.To increase compliance, ACM used a telephone script with the following nudges: framing, descriptive social norm, personal responsibility, creating commitment, and simplification. A telephone call was used to ensure personal contact with each company. As the result, 24 out of 27 companies eventually provided the required data.
