Maxine Parker
Applied Research Fellow
Max is a PhD candidate in Social-Personality Psychology at Queen’s University, where her research examines how attitudes and individual differences shape behaviour in close relationships. She is particularly interested in the psychological mechanisms that influence how people respond to and regulate emotions during interpersonal conflict. Max holds an MSc in Social Psychology from Queen’s University, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with a Minor in Business, and a BA in English from Carleton University.
Her work brings together social psychology, behavioural science, and rigorous research design to understand why people make the decisions they do. With expertise in data analysis and experimental design, Max is interested in translating behavioural research into insights with applications for workplace dynamics, decision-making, and other applied settings. Outside of work, Max is passionate about painting and cats, you can find her playing tennis or rollerblading in the summer and skating or snowboarding in the winter.
