Employer tax health

Intervention · Tax

Intervention Description

The government of Canada sought to remedy the large amount of employers that filed their employer health tax late. They used a randomised controlled trial with implementation intentions to motivate employers to pay any overdue tax. The overdue employers were sent a collection letter with specific and personal details about how to file and when the deadline is. There was an increase in tax filing compared to the unmodified letter.
