Roger Straathof is a seasoned and successful business leader with banking-sector experience in both the North American and European markets. He has established relationships and expertise in the energy, technology, infrastructure, emerging markets and government sectors. His roles have spanned from capital markets, to risk management, to corporate and commercial banking, and to the office of the CEO and Chairman of RBC.
Originally hailing from the Netherlands, and now a Canadian citizen, Roger holds a BA in Economics (Erasmus University, Rotterdam), an MBA (Rotterdam School of Management), the ICD.D director designation (Haskayne School of Business), and a Master's of Public Policy (University of Calgary). He has a lifelong dedication to communities at home and abroad, volunteering and participating on boards for programs oriented towards education, culture, housing and recent immigrants.
