Katie Baca-Motes
Co-Founder & CSO, Scripps Digital Trial Center @ Scripps Research
Katie is the co-founder and CSO of the Scripps Digital Trial Center at the Scripps Research Institute - ranked as the #1 most influential research institution by Nature Index. She is also an adjunct lecturer at The Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego. She leads the outreach and recruitment efforts of Direct Volunteers for the Precision Medicine Initiative Cohort Program. Prior to joining Scripps, Katie managed a consulting group where she helped organizations put behavioral economics to work. Her experience includes digital outreach for national clinical trial enrollment and several large-scale consumer behavior projects at The Walt Disney Company. Katie’s research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research and featured in the book, “The Small Big: small changes that spark big influence”. Her writing has been published on Time.com. She has an MBA from The Rady School of Management, UCSD.
