Maxine Parker

Max is a PhD candidate in Social-Personality Psychology at Queen's University, where her research examines how attitudes and individual differences shape behaviour in close relationships. She is particularly interested in the psychological mechanisms that influence how people respond to and regulate emotions during interpersonal conflict. Max holds an MSc in Social Psychology from Queen's University, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with a Minor in Business, and a BA in English from Carleton University.

Her work brings together social psychology, behavioural science, and rigorous research design to understand why people make the decisions they do. At The Decision Lab, she is applying that to AI in the workplace, looking at whether using AI changes the relationships between colleagues and how they see one another.

Outside of work, Max is passionate about painting and cats, and you can find her playing tennis or rollerblading in the summer and skating or snowboarding in the winter.
