Jens is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Using a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. interviews, experimental methods, Bayesian modelling, and agent-based modelling), he researches the dynamics of human-environment systems. His research explores the fragilities and consequences of interventions in dynamic systems such as social information systems, political messaging, and environmental sustainability. His environmental works spans topics like fishing, poaching, and farming, while his work on information systems explore belief revision, micro-targeting, and the impact of misinformation. His research is concerned with fundamental questions on belief revision and decision-making, but also with application and intervention testing.
