Beth Vale

Co-Lead @ Percept

Dr. Beth Vale is an applied anthropologist, writer and researcher, who believes that for any public policy, product or programme to succeed, it must land, and live in complex socio-political worlds, and elevate the innate expertise of those it intends to benefit. Beth’s research and writing spans HIV/AIDS, chronic illness, the intersections between human and ecological health, as well as gender and the care economy. Over the years, her work has also expanded beyond public health, exploring social protection, early childhood development, education, and youth employment. Beth acts as advisor to TDL on behalf of Percept, with whom TDL has a reciprocal relationship. Beth currently co-leads Percept, where she supports advisory and collaboration to advance more just ecosystems of care.
