Samantha Fink’s understanding of behavioural science affects the way she makes daily decisions. During her course on Judgement and Decision Making, Samantha first gained an understanding of the heuristics, biases, and thinking patterns that commonly influence human behaviour. These learnings fuelled her belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their lives using evidence-based decision-making methods and behavioural science research. Samantha has experience distilling big-picture perspectives and insights into engaging and accessible content as Features Editor at the Queen’s Journal. As Features Editor, Samantha’s article on the experiences of students with invisible disabilities won Amnesty International’s 2019 Youth Media Award. Samantha studied Psychology, English Literature, and Education at Queen’s University. In addition to TDL, Samantha works as a Language Arts teacher.
