Using evidence to inform decision-making is a complex practice, but when done right it can help governments to deliver meaningfully better outcomes for citizens. The International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) works to enhance the science–policy interface worldwide by fostering discussions and collaborations between individuals as well as institutions. 

Currently, francophone countries present a gap in INGSA’s science advice network. These countries share common roots to their government systems that are also distinct relative to other countries with INGSA chapters.

TDL was approached by INGSA and Les Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) to create a map of stakeholders currently giving and receiving science advice in the Francophonie.

We mapped out the science advice ecosystem in 31 francophone countries, laying the groundwork for a science advice network.

Through behavioral research and user-centered design, we developed a digital platform to support the implementation of SEL.
