Dr. Nardin Samuel

Dr. Nardin Samuel is a physician currently conducting specialty residency training in neurosurgery at the University of Toronto, and has led numerous clinical and translational research studies using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and continues to pursue research in neuro-oncology and functional neurosurgery through her post-doctoral research training in residency. Dr. Samuel has a strong interest in the decision-making and inherent biases in medical and surgical practice, and the application of critical analysis and research methodologies to better understanding this topic and improving surgical education.

Previous to her currently role, Dr. Samuel completed a degree in pharmacy, followed by a combined MD/PhD Program at the University of Toronto. Her doctoral thesis work in cancer genetics and epigenetics led to the discovery of a novel gene that is implicated in hereditary cancer predisposition.

Dr. Terri-Lynn Mackay

Terri-Lynn Mackay, PhD, is the Clinical Director of Alavida, a virtual health solution for substance use disorders. She is a clinical psychologist with expertise in providing strategic direction, clinical leadership, and system transformation in mental health and addiction. Previously, Dr. Mackay served as the Director of Operations for the Canadian mental health pandemic response, as the Associate Director of Counselling Services at the University of British Columbia, and as an Associate Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has been a consultant for government and private industry for over a decade with a focus on providing social justice approaches to transformational system change.

Dr. Mackay holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Masters degree in Behavioural Neuroscience. Her research has been featured in journals such as Canadian Psychology, Neuropsychologia, Computers in Human Behavior and International Gambling Studies.

Kamil Klamann

Kamil is a Strategy Director in frog’s San Francisco studio, where he leads cross-disciplinary teams of researchers, designers, technologists and strategists to create category-defining products and businesses for frog’s clients. His favorite part of the innovation process is discovering problems worth solving. Prior to frog, Kamil was a strategy consultant at Booz & Company helping clients across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia beat their growth targets. He lives in Los Angeles, CA where he guest lectures at the ArtCenter College of Design. Kamil holds an MS in Decision Sciences from the London School of Economics.

Sanjay Khanna

Sanjay Khanna is a strategic advisor and foresight expert. Previously the futurist at Baker McKenzie, today Sanjay works with organisations to illuminate risks and opportunities associated with the converging crises of geopolitical fragmentation, socioeconomic reordering, population health issues, technological acceleration, environmental and climate change. Sanjay has been interviewed by the Financial Times, Globe and Mail, and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, among others.
