Executive VP, Chief Corporate Development and Strategy Officer @ Nutrien

Mark Thompson is the Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development & Strategy Officer at Nutrien, the world's largest provider of agricultural inputs and services. In this role, he has executive leadership over Nutrien’s global corporate development & strategy, mergers & acquisitions, economics, sustainability/ESG and stakeholder relations functions. Mark is also a North American Ambassador for the International Fertilizer Association (IFA).

Mark attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Arts (Sociology). He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations, as well as the SASB Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential. Mark was a recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40® award and has had significant involvement as a Board member and volunteer with Special Olympics Alberta.
