Marc Saner

Marc Saner is the Chair of the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics, University of Ottawa. He previously served as the Inaugural Director of the Institute for Science, Society and Policy (ISSP) at the University of Ottawa and formerly held managing positions at the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA), Carleton University’s Regulatory Governance Initiative (RGI) and the Ethics & Policy Issues Centre (EPIC), as well as the independent Institute on Governance (IOG). In the past, he has been a public servant, a member of a think tank, and a private consultant. He has advised many government departments, international organizations and NGOs on risk management, ethics, and governance.
